🐴 Riders slated to compete in Lamotte-Beuvron in 2026, La Danasha is waiting for you!
Between May and August this year, our guesthouse La Danasha had the pleasure of welcoming riders and their families taking part in the Grand Tournoi and Open Generali de Lamotte-Beuvron.
Between jumping courses and galloping thrills, our guests found another kind of strenuous activity here: the art of unwinding by the pool 😎or just enjoying quiet and birdsong in the garden.
Located less than 30min from Lamotte-Beuvron, La Danasha became over several weeks a little haven for riders looking for peace, comfort, and a touch of countryside bliss.
Among other horse-riding aficionados, we had the joy of hosting for a whole week a lovely family from Alsace — greetings to the young riders from Haras du Mille and kudos to their team’s great results this year 👋 — who, like many others, enjoyed the calm atmosphere and a well-earned night’s sleep after long competition days in the dust, the crowds and the overall excitement.
Our guests’ favourite highlights?
✨ The absolute tranquility (the only neighs you’ll hear are in your dreams),
🛏️ The super-comfy bedding,
🏊 The refreshing pool, perfect for unwinding between events,
☀️ And of course, breakfast served from 07 am, to match the early start times. (Yes, we rise with the riders!)
Preparing for a horse-riding competition isn’t just about training your horse — it’s about tuning yourself. 🧠💪 Science says 7–9 hours of quality sleep improves coordination and reaction time. A balanced breakfast (protein + slow carbs) fuels focus and stamina.
Regular hydration keeps energy steady, while light stretching or yoga helps reduce muscle tension. Short sessions of mindful breathing before riding lower stress hormones and improve calm decision-making. Finally, build in rest days — recovery strengthens both body and confidence.
Competing well starts with feeling well. Your 🐎will feel it too, as one mum accompanying her daughter attending the championship told me after she noticed how swimming in the morning had made her noticeably more relaxed for the afternoon competition. (Psst – In the summer, our pool is open from 09am until around 10pm ;-)).
With our three guest rooms accommodating up to 8 guests (or exceptionally 10, with extra beds), La Danasha is the perfect place to recharge.
So, dear future Lamotte-Beuvron competitors, treat yourself to a peaceful stay between two rounds: at La Danasha, we take care of you so you can ride even better the next day! And for stay of three nights or more, we give you access to our outdoor cooking facilities (plancha, fryer) and fridge, right by the pool.
