The Nest
This perched room with en-suite bathroom, King Size bed and free WiFi offers the best view over the pool and garden, as well as basking in natural light. It is accessible via a wisteria-laced staircase.
A kettle and complimentary tea and coffee ensure you can make yourself that comforting cuppa you need when you wake up, or when you get back from your outdoor adventures.

The House Suite
This one-storey house offers 40sq m of elegance and cocooning. Downstairs, it boasts a cosy living area with a sofa bed, a desk and a shower.
Upstairs, you sleep in a King Size bed and, if you fancy, you can enjoy a luscious bath in our ‘lion leg’ bathtub.
This ‘maisonnette’ comes with a Nespresso machine and some capsules, just to get you started in the morning (- or whenever you fancy, really), as well as a kettle and complimentary tea. See More.
Around Us
Viglain (5min by bike)
La Danasha is located just outside the small village of Viglain, which has approx 900 inhabitants and boasts a bakery, a butcher’s, an organic farm and a small convenience store with local products. We are located in the centre of France and, beside being just two hours away from Paris, ideally placed for a delightful stop en route if you are driving through France.
Sully-sur-Loire (10-min by car, 30min by bike)
Sully-sur-Loire is the first stop on the Loire valley castles route, starting from the East – Chambord castle is just one hour away. Sully boasts a history-rich medieval castle which used to be home to King Henri IV’s finance minister, the Duke of Sully. You can reach Sully-sur-Loire in a 10-min drive or a 30-min bicycle ride. Sully-sur-Loire is located on the Loire à Vélo cycloroute.
Orléans (40min by car)
The major city of Orléans is located 40min by car to the North-West. The city boasts a gothic cathedral and quiet stunning riverside scenery, as well as carrying rich history.

If you arrive by train and book for at least two nights, we can fetch you at Gien (40min) or Saint-Cyr-en-Val / La Source (30min) train stations.

Whether you plan to arrive late or just feel like not going anywhere for dinner, we can serve you a hearty ‘planche’ with local produce and a drink.
Bicycles
Feel like exploring the surroundings? We lend you a bike so you can cycle on the forest paths in Viglain or to the Loire.
About Us
We are Daniel and Natasha, two senior consultants who settled with our son Arthur and our cat Rajah in this renovated 19th-century farm in 2022 after living for 20 years in Paris and London, and travelling around the world .
