We are located in central France, 2 hours south of Paris, 40min south-east of Orléans, 35min west of Gien and 30min north of Lamotte-Beuvron.
It is ideally placed for a short holiday or weekend out of Paris, or a delightful stop en route when you are driving through France.

- By Car: We are located 2 hours south of Paris via the A10 or A6 highways (from Porte de Versailles). You can also drive to La Danasha from Paris via a scenic toll-free route that takes you through the incredible Fontainebleau forest via Melun, Nemours and Bellegarde (check out its pink castle and delicious roadside kebab (Chez Baba)), and it’s only about 20min longer!
- By Train: two train stations are less than 40minutes away: Gien (35min) and St-Cyr en Val La Source (25min). (During the summer, you can take a train from Paris to Orléans, then board a bus from Orléans bus station (across the street) with your bike and get off at Sully-sur-Loire, just 7km away from La Danasha! About Us
We are Natasha and Daniel, two senior consultants who settled with our young son Arthur in Viglain in 2022 after living for 20 years in Paris and London. We fell for this place immediately when we visited it first in 2015 as we looked for a country house to buy within reasonable driving distance (2 hours max) from Paris, where we lived then.
We bought it in 2016 from its then owner, a stone-cutter by trade – also a Parisian – who had himself renovated it over a number of years after buying this 19th-century farm in 1980. He built the two guest houses where we now welcome you. We’ve renovated it in several successive phases since.
He peppered the main house, and the guest rooms, with his craft. The place also bore the hallmarks of a house where they had enjoyed plenty of family reunions and celebrations, so in addition to the fact that we found the setting stunning, it radiated a festive and happy vibe.
We want to share this with you by offering you a comfy place to stay when you explore our beautiful region and reconnect with nature, or indulge in your favourite activities, be they relaxing by the pool, kayaking on the Loire, visiting castles, cycling, hiking or playing golf.
